7 Cedars Casino is owned by the Jamestown S'Klallam Indians. It is located 80 miles northwest of Seattle and 5 miles east of Sequim, WA.
The casino opened February 3, 1995. In 2012 it added 4,000-square-feet, new slot machines and new table games in a $7.5 million expansion project.
Construction on a new $40M hotel adjacent to the casino began in February 2019. The hotel will have 100 rooms with 4-star amenities and open by May 1, 2020.

New branding, new logo for 7 Cedars Properties

With the new 7 Cedars Hotel coming in 2020, the Jamestown S'Klallam Indians have decided this is an opportune time to update the branding of its 7 Cedar Properties with a new look and new logo.
The 7 Cedar Properties include the 7 Cedars Casino, the 7 Cedars Hotel currently under construction, the Cedars at Dungeness Golf Course, and the Longhouse Market & Deli.
A 7 Cedars press release said the new brand 'incorporates traditional Salish iconography to communicate its cultural connection to the surrounding environment.' The new logo is shown above.
The hotel is being built in three phases. The first phase is currently under construction and will open May 1, 2020.
Phase 1 includes a four-story tower with 100 rooms. The room sizes will range from 420 square feet to 1,000 square feet and start at $275 per night. There will be two conference rooms with a total capacity for 230 people.
Phase 2 will follow about five years later. It will include a second four-story hotel tower with 150 to 200 additional rooms, a spa and a pool. It will also include a conference center for up to 800 people. The project cost estimate has not been determined.
Phase 3 will add another 100-room hotel tower bring the total guest rooms to 400. Its project cost has also not been determined.
7 Cedars Hotel celebrates ground-breaking after weather delay

The Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe celebrated the ground breaking for their $40 million hotel today. Weather had delayed the originally scheduled ground-breaking by three weeks. It waas previously scheduled for Feb. 4 which was 7 Cedar's 24th anniversary.
Although the ground breaking was delayed, construction began on time last week. Completion is expected by May 1, 2020.
The ceremony was attended by tribal leaders, casino management and representives of the architectural design company. The ceremony began with gold hand shovels digging into the ground outside the casino.
'The eventual product you see here will reflect who we are, reflect the beauty and pristine of the Olympic Peninsula,' said Ron Allen, Chairman and CEO of the Jamestown Tribal Council.

The Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe will build a four-star, four-diamond hotel on the west side of their 7 Cedar Casino.
Construction of a $40 million hotel is the first of a three-phase expansion project which is scheduled over the next several years. Phases two and three will add 200 more hotel rooms, several conference rooms, an events center and a parking garage. The grand opening for the hotel is planned for spring of 2020.
The first floor of the hotel will have a large lobby, a coffee bar and rooms for meetings and banquet events. The upper floors will feature one of four decor themes - water, land, trees or sky. The guest rooms will include standard room and executive suites, business suites and mini suites.

Steps are being made to begin developing the new hotel and resort at the 7 Cedars Casino.
Plans have been in the works for a long time. They include a hotel with 100 guest rooms that would be five stories tall. It is expected to be opened by summertime of 2020.
7 Cedars Casino is owned by the Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe
In about one week development will begin on the service road that will be used for the hotel construction. The road will loop around the casino and hotel site to the deli. The tribe is hopeful for ground breaking to be held the beginning of 2019.
The site for the hotel will be on the west side of the casino.
Construction for the project is estimated to take up to 16 months.
The hotel will cost $40 million to complete. It will be funded with both loans and cash.
The contractor for the project that was chosen by the tribe is Swinerton Builders of Bellevue. The design firm will be Rice Fergus Miller Architecture.
Design for the hotel will feature a different element theme on each floor. The elements will be sky, land, water, and trees. Culturally, these elements are important to the tribe. The design will also tell the story of the tribe's history, culture, and their life in the Pacific Northwest.
Other plans for the hotel space will include space for meetings and banquets, offices for administration, a coffee bar, and a large lobby.
The casino will be open 24 hours daily after the hotel is opened.

We have stayed there twice. It is a good spot to sleep before we catch the Port Angeles - Victoria ferry. It is a nice spot and quiet around back where the RV parking is.
When we were there in April 2010 they had all the RV's parked parallel to the curb at the edge of the lot and two of the older rigs appeared to have been there for some time. I was not impressed with the slots. I put $20 in and did not win one pull. Not even a taste! Still a cheap night though.
To get to the RV parking make the left off of the main entrance road. There's a section for RV parking on the upper edge of the lot and signs which request that RVers register at the casino. We stayed in a different section of the lot for three days and didn't notice the RV parking or sign until we were ready to leave. There were many other RVs parked in the same section with us so I think that this is not enforced.
We checked out the dinner buffet, reasonably priced at $13.00, but not very healthy - lots of comfort foods, fried and gravy covered and not many vegetables. We decided to try the Totem Bar and Grill instead which was pretty good.
If you get tired of gambling there's a beautiful paved 30 mile bike/walk trail directly across the road from the casino. This is one section of the Olympic Discovery Trail that will eventually be 100 miles long. The picture of the casino is taken from the trail.
